For years I've been playing around with sampling and in particular Accordion sounds for use in MIDI projects.
Since I got a Limex MIDI system fitted to my accordion I have found the bellows sensor to be a huge asset in the use of MIDI sounds on the right hand. It just helps to add a 'realness' you don't get trying to emulate the bellows with a foot volume pedal.
I've put together this wee montage of some of my accordion samples to let you here what can be achieved with MIDI sampling.
Charlie Todd of the Box & Fiddle Magazine has produced a series of 9 MUSIC BOOKS with some of the best dance music tunes you'll find. What's great about this collection is that Charlie has categorised them into separate books.
There's two books of 2/4 Pipe Marches (142 tunes), 2 books of 6/8 Marches (105 tunes), 2 books of mixed pipe tunes (150 tunes), 1 book of Scottish Polkas (40 tunes), 1 book of Continental Polkas, 1 book of Twosteps (60 tunes.
This is a brilliant resource for any musician whether playing for dancing or just amusement.
